The March 2024 Limahuli Kupulau Program is a creative workshop focused on animation, 3D modeling, and environmental storytelling. This event, hosted at Limahuli Gardens, offers participants a deep dive into Hawaiian cultural narratives, specifically exploring the Moʻolelo of Pōhakuokāne, through a series of storytelling, drawing, and digital creation activities.
Schedule:
Day 1: Monday, March 18
Morning: Introduction to Moʻolelo and Ahupuaʻa mapping, focusing on Hāʻena Ahupuaʻa and its place names.
Midday: Practical work on Pōhaku (stones) including their shapes, sizes, and types.
Afternoon: 3D modeling and voice acting sessions.
